Product description
The 2000 harvest offered a very good quality Chardonnay - the House’s signature grape since it was founded - which enabled to produce fine, fresh, well-balanced and particularly aromatic wines. The Pinot Noir brought power and structure and the Meunier gave all the generosity and fruitiness necessary for the wine.

| Consumption Tips | Consumption TipsPerrier-Jouët Belle Epoque 2000 is best enjoyed at a temperature of 10 degrees as an aperitif and at 12 degrees during a meal. Just as a long period of ageing has allowed this champagne to develop all of its aromas, additional time is required to fully appreciate it. To this end, remove the bottle from refrigeration a quarter of an hour before opening it to allow the wine to reach the desired serving temperature. Once served – ideally in a wine glass rather than a traditional flute – it needs to breathe for a few minutes. |

| Product History | Product HistoryTo accompany the new millennium, Maison Perrier-Jouët has created an emblematic wine: Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque 2000. The first vintage of the 21st century is an elegant, seductive wine. After a contrasting winter, the year 2000 had a rainy start to the spring, followed by a drought in May. Partly sunny, the summer was punctuated by thunderstorms and hailstorms. In September, the mildness and rain set in until the harvest, which took place under better weather conditions. |
| Tasting note | Tasting notesPerrier-Jouët Belle Epoque 2000 benefited from twenty years in the House’s cellars in Epernay to fully reveal a beautiful aromatic richness. On the nose, this wine offers intense aromas: tobacco, honey, incense, brioche as well as dried flowers, gingerbread and magnolia. On the palate, Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque 2000 is fresh and voluptuous. An almost silky texture and a full, long finish complete the tasting of this cuvee. It is an exceptional wine that stands out and has a genuine generosity. |
