Product description
Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Blanc de Blancs is the rarest Perrier-Jouët cuvée, and the culmination of the House’s 200-year expertise in revealing the intricate floral facets of its signature Chardonnay grape. Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Blanc de Blancs is crafted from 100% Chardonnay grapes sourced from just two small parcels of vines – Bouron Leroi and Bouron du Midi - in Cramant, one of the most prestigious Grand Cru villages in the renowned Côte des Blancs. This wine is characterised by a bright gold colour, iridescent glints of green and intense aromas of wild white flowers complemented by notes of fruit and honey. Its freshness and purity linger into a long and elegant, silken finish. As part of the Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Collection, this vintage champagne is presented in a bottle bearing the iconic spray of white Japanese anemones designed for the House in 1902 by Emile Gallé, a master of the Art Nouveau movement. This emblematic motif, recognised throughout the world, is the ultimate expression of the House’s enduring bond with art and nature. • A bright, warm gold colour with subtle glints of green and exceptionally fine bubbles. • The quintessence of Chardonnay. • An intense and intricate bouquet with aromas of wild white flowers and luscious hints of fruit and honey. • A wonderful freshness and purity in the mouth, with an elegant, silken finish • An exceptional taste experience • Ideally paired with crab, cep mushrooms, and passion fruit.

Product History | Product History2006 was a good year in Champagne, with a near-perfect growing season. July witnessed a heatwave across the region, followed by fresher weather and welcome rains in August, allowing the grapes to rest before the Indian summer took them to perfect maturity. By harvest, the Chardonnay grapes of Bouron Leroi and Bouron du Midi had attained the ideal balance between sugar, acidity and pure floral aromas. The year’s conditions were particularly favourable to Chardonnay, with the ripeness of the grapes, combined with aromatic richness and vinosity, resulting in a wine of exceptional finesse and generosity. |
Vineyard History | Vineyard HistoryA vineyard of 65Ha ranked at 99,2% on the Grand Cru scale Five main « crus » featured in all Perrier-Jouët’s cuvées : • Cramant (27Ha) & Avize (9Ha) in the Côte des Blancs, Chardonnay, 100% Grand Cru more than half of the Perrier-Jouët vineyard bring finesse and the typical floral notes (white flowers) style as well as length thanks to an optimum mid-hillside sunlight exposition. • Mailly (9Ha) in the North of the Montagne de Reims, Pinot Noir: it brings power and elegance (less heavy than those from Bouzy or Ambonnay) through little red fruit notes. • Ay (10Ha) & Dizy (10Ha), in the Vallée de la Marne, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier The Pinot Noir from Aÿ bring elegance through its fresh fruits notes The Pinot Meunier from Dizy (rated at 95%), located on the right bank of the Marne Vallée, brings roundness benefiting from warmer temperature than those from the Ardre Vallée. They bring generosity and are the bridge between Chardonnays and Pinots Noirs. |
