This liqueur is a very powerful and creative combination, given by the vodka known as Absolut, which is characterized by notes of green cardamom, together with other elements of the production house kept secret, to thereby obtain the perfect mix. With a classic Swedish air produces the most natural way possible. Absolut Extrakt is made with premium one-source Absolut Vodka and natural flavours including extract from green cardamom. Absolut Vodka is made with water and winter wheat. The water comes from a deep well in Åhus where it’s protected from impurities. The winter differs from other crops: it’s sown one fall and harvested the next one. The days in between it grows under the Swedish snow, developing its hard grain. Also, the use of fertilizers is minimized. The bottle is chlorophyll green, underlines this addition of herbs and spices. In addition, the handwritten kraft paper label makes it look more like a bottle from the shelves of an apothecary. With its sweet and spicy character, and its characteristic green cardamom note, Absolut Extrakt No. 1 Cardamom is to be enjoyed in a very cold shot or can be used as a base for cocktails such as Extrakt Tonic, Triple X, and the Extrakt Hot Chocolate.

| Product History | Product HistoryIn 1879, Lars Olsson Smith introduced the continuous distillation with which he made Absolut Rent Brännvin. Instead of the usual three or four times, the vodka was distilled an infinite number of times. 100 years later, it was reintroduced as Absolut. Just as then, Absolut is produced in Åhus, L.O. Smith’s birth town. Also the place where the wheat used for making the vodka is grown. And since the way Absolut is made won’t change, neither will the true taste of vodka. |
